GROWING HIGHLY PRODUCTIVE SPRING RAPE ON DEPLETED PEAT SOILS

The paper offers an long-term analysis of experience in cultivation of spring oilseed rape in depleted peatlands at different rates of sewage sludge as a planting fertilizer. The experiments prove that using sewage sludge at rates of 9 and 27 t/ha may result in improved yield of spring rape, by 48,7 and 113,1%, respectively, as compared with the control values.

METROLOGY OF FORAGE ENERGY CONTENT

The author offers a patented method of measuring the forage nutritive value with a nominal error not exceeding 3,4 % to be utilized in forage production and animal feeding. The paper also concentrates on the discovered phenomenon of the indigestible substances content constancy of 12,7 ± 5 % kg per 100 kg of all rations, without underfeeding, in the O. Kellner’s rates in milk production of 20 liters a day for dairy cows with a mass of 500 kg.

GEOMETRIC MEANING OF MICROPOLAR STRAINS AND ROTATIONS IN CONTINUUM IN INTERACTION OF WORKING ELEMEMTS WITH ABRASIVES

The authors claim that solution making is characterized not only with an abrasion effect of the fine fractionss, but also an impact effect of the major ones. Depending on the grain shape there are three groups of natural stone rubble: cuboid, advanced and conventional, as well as grains of lamellar (flakiness) and needle forms (the content does not exceed 15...35 % by weight, respectively). The authors prove that shock-abrasive wear is caused uder their influence.

MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF METAL SEIZURE IN WIRE ELECTRIC-CONTACT WELDING

A mathematical model of metal compounds with electro surfacing, taking into account the thermal and mechanical channel activation. The results of calculations of the relative strength of welded joints are compared with available experimental data.
